3G Forum:
A Peer Support Group for Grandchildren of Holocaust Survivors

The 3G Forum brings grandchildren of Holocaust survivors (“3Gs”) together to connect on a range of topics related to the 3G experience.

Meeting monthly on Zoom, this volunteer-led discussion group creates space for 3Gs to share with, listen to, and support each other while exploring how our family legacies inform who we are.

I never realized how much being a 3G influenced my life and
perspective until I got involved with the 3G Forum.

Each month features a different discussion topic. Past topics have included:

  • Navigating Interfaith Relationships

  • Coping with Trauma

  • Raising 4Gs

  • Embracing Our Traditions

  • Preserving Our Family Legacies

3G Forum has allowed me to carry on my grandparents’ legacies and continue to remember them for all of who
they were and what they passed onto me. Sharing reflections with fellow 3Gs is so comforting, as so many of us
share the same reflections and lessons learned.

The 3G Forum is collaboration between 3G groups across the US. It was conceived and launched by 3G Philly volunteer Amanda Pisark, and is currently led by 3GNY volunteer Stephanie Lemor and Boston 3G volunteer Jamie Jacobs, with support from all the regional groups listed here.
