One-year Anniversary 3GNY Stories Live: WEDU Wednesday "Every Day is a Holiday" Featuring a Special Presentation by Farah Kraus, 3GNY Board Member

Join us for a special one-year anniversary of WEDU Wednesday where we'll reflect on the past year, share our vision for the future, and feature a special presentation by 3GNY treasurer and WEDU co-chair Farah Kraus.

Farah will share the story of her maternal grandmother, Eva Kostre, who was born in Trzcianne, Poland (Near Bialystok). As a teenager she miraculously survived Auschwitz and Ravensnbruck and eventually resettled in the US in 1949. After surviving, Eva adopted "Every Day is a holiday" as her life philosophy. She shared these words often and encouraged everyone to live life to the fullest.

Farah is the grandchild of two Holocaust Survivors, Eva and Harry Kostre. She initially become involved with 3GNY in 2010 to participate in the WEDU program. She has spoken to over 60 classrooms and is continually amazed at the insightful and thoughtful responses from the students she speaks to. As WEDU co-chair, Farah enjoys helping other participants prepare to speak in classrooms. Farah majored in Finance and Business Economics at Indiana University. She currently works in her family accounting practice and lives in Brooklyn, New York.
